Before Oscar ever got here, NIN volunteers loved him and anticipated his birth with joy. His Mommy had sewn for Newborns in Need years before, helping to make sweet soft baby quilts and soft clothing for other mother’s babies to wear. She never thought she would ever need our services herself.
When she found herself in a tough situation, she was relieved to be able to get the warm clothing, bedding, and essential baby items needed for Oscar.
Volunteers quickly got ready all that was needed and set her mind at ease so she could concentrate on trying to prepare mentally for what was to come. Oscar was born happy and healthy with only a cleft lip to be operated on later. Oscar is a very happy baby.
