Eighth Annual Convention 2008
“Gathered in Love”

When:

Thursday, April 24, 2008 11:00AM – 9:00PM

  • Arrival - Check in/register at Sts. Peter & Paul Retreat House
  • Or check in area hotels then come to register at Retreat House
  • Turn in Chapter quilt squares (more info on this later), set up displays, and socialize
  • Those who wish may take Longaberger Tour or visit area shops (on your own)

Friday, April 25, 2008 8:00AM – 9:00PM

  • Convention classes – We have planned classes in accordance with results of a survey taken at 2007 Convention – we think you will love the change
  • All classes will be hands on – Every one will have the opportunity to attend each class.
  • “Make It-Take It Crochet” (beginners & advanced) bring crochet needles (sizes F thru I)
  • “Make It-Take It Knitting” (beginners & advanced) bring knitting needles (sizes 7 & 8)
  • “Make It-Take It Quilting” (beginners & advanced) – bring scissors, straight pins
  • “Make It-Take It Bibs & Burp Cloths” – bring scissors, straight pins
  • Patterns/yarn/material/sample pieces for all classes will be provided
  • Luncheon
  • Banquet (business casual attire)

Saturday, April 26, 2008 9:00AM – 2:30 PM

  • Finish “Make It -Take It” projects/work on Chapter quilts/receive additional project Instructions- Your choice
  • Luncheon
  • No Swaps (we suggest taking the money normally spent on swaps and donate back to individual chapters)
