The Dallas Area Chapter, wishes to extend a heart felt thanks to each of you for joining our effort in 2008. Thanks to those of you that have returned to start our tenth year with us, and a warm welcome to our new volunteers.

Everyone has something to give. Thanks for giving your time and for using your gifts to show others you care. Your commitment to serveothers is invaluable to us. Because of you we were able to provide over 35,000 essential baby items in 2008!

It is because of your generous hearts and desire to help others that we were able to reach out to more babies in need. We are grateful for these opportunities to assist agencies committed to helping those in need.  Some of the agencies we have assisted are:

Sharing Life Community Outreach, Inc. is an organization which provides benevolent support for those individuals and families in crisis living in Mesquite and Southeast Dallas County, Texas

The Family Place provides emergency shelter, food, counseling and case management services to help families escape from domestic violence.

Additionally we have provided for babies born at Baylor Dallas, Plano Presbyterian, John Peter Smith and Medical Center Dallas Hospitals, as well as ministering to individual baby needs to their homes after being released from the hospital. The clothing, blankets, quilts, diapers; what ever we have to offer these babies are received so enthusiastically by the parent(s).

The blankets not only help to warm the babies, but also warm the spirit of the entire family. Despite the obstacles of their situation, these families need to know that there are others that care about the well being of their baby.
