Newborns in Need has been taking care of babies since 1992 with a lot of love, work, and help from communities all across America. Our mission statement reaches out to encompass all of God's children in a way that resonates in the heart of each of us. Artificial barriers are overcome through joining hearts and hands focused on the work. Race, creed, age, and diversity are not only not a problem, but celebrated as each of us brings our own special gifts and skills to the table as we can accomplish so much more together.
Newborns in Need is synergistic - the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. One person can make a difference, and when many people are involved emotionally, mentally, and spiritually focused on a common goal, miracles happen.
Newborns in Need has grown from just one person, sewing the first baby quilt at the kitchen table, to thousands of volunteers across the country, organized with superior leadership into chapters that are responsive, accountable, and effectively addressing our nation's need to help it's tiniest and most helpless citizens. With our Lord and Savior leading and guiding us in our ministry to love and care for America's sick and needy babies, nothing is impossible and many things are probable.
Take the time to read this website thoroughly. Within it's contents you will find attributes such as love, trust, caring, loyalty, safety, sharing, learning, growing, and progress. I hope and pray that you will feel called to participate in this work. It is imperative that we protect our nation's greatest resource and give them a healthy safe start in life. The basic essentials that Newborns in Need provides for the sick and needy babies allow them to save their strength for healing, instead of just trying to stay warm.
