Supplies:
1 yard fabric
1 yard batting
thread to match
Cut 4 pieces fabric 12 inches by 15 inches
Cut 1 strip 3 inches by 31 inches (band)
Cut 2 strips 3 inches by 15 inches (handles)
Optional batting - 2 pieces 12 inches by 15 inches
- Place 2 pieces of bag fabric right sides together
- Place 1 piece of thin batting over the bag fabric
- Place 2 pieces of lining fabric right sides together over the batting
- Place another piece of thin batting on top
- Stitch together with a 1/2 inch seam, leaving the top open
- Reach in between the 2 lining layers and pull the bag right side out.
- Then reach in between the 2 bag fabric layers and pull bag right side out again.
- Take the 3 inches by 31 inch piece and sew a 1/4 inch seam along the 3 inch side. Fold in half and press.
- Take the 3 inch by 15 inch pieces and sew a 1/4 inch seam along the 15 inch side, right sides together. Pin the handles 2 1/2 inches from each side, on the inside of the bag, then place the cuff inside the bag. Be sure the cuff fits the bag and adjust the seam if necessary.
- Stitch the cuff to the bag, catching the handles. Turn the cuff to the right side.
