Who we support and what they need ...
Community Hospitals - includes Community East, Community North, Community South and the Resolve Through Sharing (bereavement support) for all Indianapolis Community Hospitals. The Special Care Nurseries at Community East and South and the 36-bed state of the art Level III NICU at Community North provide intensive care to high-risk newborns.
Clarian Health Partners
- Clarian North Hospital - has a high risk pregnancy clinic and needs a wide range of bereavement items. The 20 room NICU can hold up to 40 babies.
- Indiana University Hospital - is the major referral site for high-risk, mothers-to-be throughout Indiana. The Level II Special Care Nursery is available for babies who need extra attention and supports
about 25 babies a month.
- Methodist Hospital - The Methodist NICU is a Level III facility cares for an average of 50 babies a month.
- Riley Children's Hospital - Rated One of the top 5 NICU’s in the country by Child Magazine has a 79 - bed Level III Nursery.
Home Hospital of St Elizabeth Regional Health in Lafayette- has a 14 bed Level III NICU and would like to have clothing
and blankets.
Johnson Memorial Hospital has over 650 births per year. Newborn clothing and blankets are provided to families in need of basics for their newborn.
Methodist Hospitals (Gary/Merrillville) - High risk pregnancy care including maternal-fetal monitoring and neonatology services are available at both campuses. Methodist has a Level 2.5 and a Level 3 NICU.
Parkview Hospital - Fort Wayne - the 33 bed facility is the largest in the area with critical care and progressive care modules. Current needs include clothing and blankets for the NICU.
St. Francis Hospitals - St Francis South has a Level III NICU that supports both St Francis South and St Francis Mooresville.
St. Vincent Hospitals - has a 75 bed Level IIID NICU at St Vincent Women’s Hospital and a smaller special care nursery at St Vincet
Carmel.
Wishard Hospital - The Special Care Nursery which accommodates up to 26 babies frequently provides clothing to needy families who who otherwise have nothing for their babies so lots of full term clothing and blankets are needed. The regular nursery has 60-70 births each week and would like to be able to provide a full term sized layette to each baby upon discharge.
Carenet Crisis Pregnancy Center - Care Net is a non-profit organization that supports a network of over 800 pregnancy resource centers in the United States and Canada. These centers offer free pregnancy tests, peer counseling, post-abortion support and other practical help to empower women and men facing pregnancy related concerns.
Life Centers - provides basic clothing and blanket needs to needy babies who have gone home. Anything that you can think of that a baby might need can be donated - clothing, blankets, toiletries, diapers, formula, food, etc.
Maternity Outreach Ministry on the Indy’s eastside - provides baby clothes and supplies to local families.
