Meeting Notes from April 21, 2007 President Ruth Hoover welcomed all to our meeting with an opening prayer. A special welcome to our new members: Debbie Smith, Tina Jones, and Caleb Bruno. Debbie and Tina found us on the Internet, and brought many lovely items that they had made, or purchased, as well as a monetary donation from a friend. Caleb was recruited by Tessa Goskie, and helps her make bracelets. Caleb was a preemie infant, and fortunately he is big and strong now. Hannah Goodman, Ruth’s granddaughter, visited with us. Hannah was a preemie, born in North Carolina, and assisted by the Newborns in Need Chapter there. Hannah is the reason the Arch Chapter was started. We had a lovely Potluck Luncheon as we celebrated our Chapter’s 5th Anniversary! Delicious food, and a time to sit and chat for a while. Thanks to all who were also able to bring an item for Circle of Concern Food Pantry. We received a certificate of congratulations from the Home Office for our Anniversary. We also received a certificate of appreciation and letter for our work for the Garden of Innocents. Our Chapter was mentioned in the Community Matters section of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. This section occurs twice yearly and contains details of the many charities and organizations in our area. |
