Happy New Year to you all!

     With the holidays over and the winter chill in the air it is a great time to grab that skein of yarn or special material we have been saving and begin a project for the babies that we have been waiting to do.  Actually I know that you all have been busy and have kept Newborns in Need in your minds, we too have had you on our minds!   We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday    season and we will see you at the next meeting.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU…….   To our friend Elke in Florida for more of her hand knit goodies and to Walmart for their generous grant to our chapter of $1,000.00.

 

Saturday, FEBRUARY 10, 2007, 9am to 12 noon will be our next meeting.  Our “special guests” will be a Casper Star Tribune reporter and photographer.  We have been contacted and asked if we would be willing to have them write an     article about us, and of course we were eager to jump at the opportunity!  So…….I would like you all to bring a project to work on (so we look                industrious!) and bring a friend (they are always more than welcome, not just when the newspaper is here).  As always we will have refreshments.  Hope to see you Saturday the 10th.

 

SUPPLY CLOSET:  We have yarn and fabric available for your projects that we     simply cannot bring to each meeting.  However, you can call and let me know    what you need (or get suggestions for a project) and I will bring it to the next meeting or make arrangements for delivery.  We currently have quilts that need to  be  bound and tied and we also have need of preemie gowns/sleepers (some     stretch knit is available).  Ann 235-8592 or 258-1089

 

 

Upcoming Events: 

· March meeting we will have a guest speaker from a local quilt    club.

· We have been chosen as the receipents of a fundraiser by the     Casper Antique and Collectors Club to be held in November.  All we need to do is have people at the door to collect admission on a Saturday and Sunday and we receive a percentage of the total admissions!
