Our next meeting is Saturday, July 14 at 9:00 am at LifeSteps Campus (1514 E 12th)in the Cafeteria (Building L).   Bring your projects!  We will have a short meeting and then the rest of the morning will be for show and tell, and work time.  Drinks will be served.  We are sure to have a “Bang Up” time!!

             New Agencies

We have just began working with two new agencies that need our help.  Both agencies are in Riverton.   Fremont County not only helps all their residents, they also serve the Wind River Indian Reservation.  The area agencies’ resources are often stretched further than what they can provide, so we are able to help them out.  Abba’s House is a pregnancy help center that provide free pregnancy tests, pregnancy & fetal development information, counseling and community referrals, emergency diapers and formula, lending closet and basic essential needs for moms and babies.

 

Fremont County Public Health could also use help with basic baby items, and the making of  Moses Baskets.  The Moses Baskets will be shown at the next meeting an anyone wishing to help with this project can take supplies home to make one (or more!).

Knitty Gritty

Newborns in Need was asked to speak at Park Place for the Knitty Gritty groups Monday afternoon session on June 11.  I was able to share our mission with the 6 lovely ladies in   attendance. These ladies meet every Monday from 1-2 to knit, crochet and visit.  We are invited to stop by and knit or crochet with them anytime, they would love the company.

SUPPLY CLOSET:  We have yarn and fabric available for your projects that we     simply cannot bring to each meeting.  However, you can call and let me know what you need (or get suggestions for a project) and I will bring it to the next meeting or make arrangements for delivery.  Ann 235-8592 or 258-1089
