5 years old and still going strong

Our chapter celebrated its 5th birthday with a delicious potluck lunch. We were happy to welcome new members

Louise Newman, Letha Dorris

 Phyllis Lawyer

Pam Wilson, who has been sending boxes of wonderful items, took a day off work to join us for the first time. Pam learned about us from a flier she saw at the Needle and Yarn Shop in Granville. Almost every month someone new attends a meeting and becomes “hooked” on NIN and the babies.  Two members were sorely missed – Herschel and Helen were unable to attend as planned. Herschel was hospitalized for congestive heart failure – please keep them in your prayers.  We also learned that little Logan Davis did finally receive his life saving transplants. He had his surgery in Pittsburgh. He may have to stay there for about a year.  Logan and his family also are in need of prayers.

Gathered in Love

We have received the first reservations for Our 2008 convention: Carol Green, founder of NIN, Richard Green, her husband and interim president of NIN, and Mary Swanson from the home office have sent their reservations. They plan to stay at Sts. Peter and Paul retreat center so they don’t miss any of the fun.

Spreading the Word

Ann Marie and Ann Forgrave were interviewed recently on the morning show on WCLT radio.    Hopefully we have spread the word about NIN to some in our community who haven’t heard of us before and will want to see what we are all about. Also, we will publicize our work for the babies at the Women’s Health Expo at the Reese Center on September 4 5PM-9PM. This will be our 3rd year of participation. If you would like to help “man” the table for an hour, please contact Ann Marie.

Congratulations

Member Angela  Prischalianny   became the bride of Chris Miller. We wish them a long and happy life!!!

Back In His Arms Again

Our guest speakers, Kambra  & Shawn Malone, did a lovely job of sharing their new ministry,  "Back In His Arms  Again".  After losing their unborn child at 13 weeks, they experienced unbelievable roadblocks in trying to give their son, Gabriel Francis, a decent Christian burial. The mission of “Back in His Arms Again” is to honor life from conception to natural death.  Those who heard this special couple were very touched by their story.  After listening to them, we know that we are indeed performing a much-needed service in making burial layettes. Kambra and Shawn have agreed to speak at our convention. Don’t miss them!!
