In Memoriam

We received the following emails:

“Dear Ann Marie, I am not sure if you received my email a few weeks ago.......but I want you to send my deepest gratitude to the NIN members. Shawn and I had a premature little girl on November 1. Her name is Mary Claire. I was just under 20 weeks. She was buried in a beautiful outfit made by NIN. It gave Shawn and I so much comfort to be able to have her looking so precious…. .a memory to last forever. THANK YOU for the work you do and the outfits you provide to Back In His Arms Again...... Jesus has our little Gabriel and Mary Claire Back In His Arms. Love and Prayers, Kambra”

We also received this sad info concerning member, Helen Johnson

“Ann Marie, Please let everyone know that Helen passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20th.  Elsie.”

(Ann Marie sent flowers for Helen from our Chapter. She also had a Mass card sent from our Chapter. Sympathy cards can be sent to Herschel at 11102 Circle Drive, St. Mary’s OH 45885).

Helen and her husband, Herschel were wonderful members of our Chapter. They donated many beautiful items – including the many, many hats Herschel made on his hat board.

Baby Logan Davis also passed away after a courageous 2-year battle – His body rejected the transplants. He died at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital on Dec. 2.

Ruth Taylor, another Chapter member and great friend and knitter passed away peacefully just before Thanksgiving.

These wonderful people will always be in our hearts.

Proud Grandma

Member Pam Wilson is quite proud of her granddaughter, Jillian Warden – and rightly so. Sixteen-year -old Jillian has been making quilts, stuffed animals and hats. In addition to her sewing talents, Jillian teaches cheerleading to special needs children. She, herself, cheers for Franklin Heights. We are all anxious to meet this great gal!

Welcome Back

Former member, Barbara Theis, moved away, but recently returned to our area and our Chapter. Welcome back Barbara.

Recuperating

Donna Starr recently had knee replacement surgery and is coming along quite well. Husband, Kelly, is happy that she is on her way home.

Jerry Lawson has been taking medications that seem to affect his ability to focus – meds need changed – Joan Lawson wrenched her back.

Hopefully all three are on the mend and will attend our January ‘08 meeting.

Ann Marie, Carol Svatora and Ann Forgrave recently attended the Owl Creek Circle Faith Group service and luncheon – The group donated several items for the babies. One of the members of the group even took a Herschel hat board to begin working on hats!!
