REMEMBER!!

 You can help NIN with a donation of TIME!

Please count all volunteer hours, every hour spent on NIN activities and turn in. 

The IRS allows us to count volunteer hours as a donation at the value of the current minimum wage value.

This makes a huge difference with donations handled per year on our annual audit.

Some examples of hours that can be counted are:

 hours spent driving to donation drop offs, making the donation, and driving home,

 time spent on the phone on NIN business. i.e. donations, calling volunteers,

etc. time spent driving to, attending and driving home from work meetings

 time spent going to the store, purchasing supplies, bringing it home and

knitting, crocheting, sewing, surging or tatting items for our babies,

 Time spent on phone calls made for work meetings or arranging donations can

be counted. Hopefully, the examples above show that it is clear ANY time spent doing

anything for NIN can be counted. Some of our volunteers are reluctant to turn in hours spent on NIN, they

either don't know the hours can be counted or they want to donate anonymously.

 Please help friends and other volunteers to see that it is a great benefit

to NIN to count ALL volunteer hours and claim them as a donation for NIN on our

monthly reports. We are able to apply for more grants and receive greater

donations if we can show that NIN is actively working hard for the babies as

shown by the number of volunteer hours claimed

Hours should be turned in no later than the second day of the next month........

So Septembers hours will be turned in on October 2!!
