DONATIONS
In 2007 we donated a total of 2956 items in 210 layette sets at a value of $17,116.40. We averaged 15 volunteers per month and they donated 5137.5 hours of their time to help those in need. Great job!
Mary sent most of our burial items to a hospital in Nashville that had requested them. She was also able to donate items to the city mission and to a baby in Grand Island, Daniel Angel Sanchez. We received a thank you letter from the baby’s mother:
Dear NIN, I just want to thank all of the people who are involved with this program very much, because before I called you I didn’t even have a pair of socks and only one outfit and one blanket. Now my child has what he needs to get him by. May God bless all of the people that made it happen. Also, baby Daniel was born January 1, 2008. He was the 4th new year baby to be born. NEEDED ITEMS
We have used up almost everything we had on hand for layettes. Anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
