PATTERN

This pattern was printed in the October 2005 newsletter.  It was requested again.

Knitted Booties

Use size 5 needles.  Cast on 22 stitches.
Knit each row until 2 ¾”.
Decrease (k2 tog) across (11 sts remain).
Cut yarn and thread through sts on needle.
Remove needle and pull tight to form toe.
Whipstitch top for 1”. Fasten off.
Sew up back. Fasten off.
Turn inside out and thread ‘shoe laces’ through top (ribbon or cotton yarn).
Option:  make pom-pom for toe.

DONATIONS

In March we donated 681 items (including many preemie items), April donations were 203, and in May we donated 60 items. We received a thank you from Family Service WIC program for 56 items we donated.  We also received a thank you from the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center in March.

MEETINGS

At our next meeting we will plan to put together lots of layette sets.  We would love to see you there.
