BAKE SALE
The bake sale will be held on October 21. We need LOTS of baked items. Some suggestions for fall items are anything with pumpkin – pie, bread, cookies - banana bread, cranberry nut bread, spice cake, apple pie. Chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, brownies, and other kinds of bars and cookies are always popular. Items can be dropped off at Mary’s house on Friday evening or Saturday (October 19, 20). Call 304-4353 to arrange a time. They can also be taken to the church between 2pm and 3pm on Saturday or on Sunday at 8am (to leave time for pricing). Be sure to package your items in non-returnable containers and label them. Also, please mark anything that contains nuts.
GREAT NEWS
We were nominated to share in a legacy left to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church by a member who passed away. A task force was formed to decide what to do with the money and Mary was interviewed twice. Last month we received a $500 donation! Thank you to the church and to those who decided that our work is worthy of receiving such a large contribution.
