Look What We Accomplished
In April and May, 6,009 items and 56# of fabric were received. We donated 6,750 finished items with 6,186.5 volunteer hours. We gave donations in April to Banner Desert Medical Center NICU and their Children’s Hospital Labor & Delivery (twice), St. Joseph’s Hospital NICU, and Mesa Family Health Center. These included 100 newborn kits, 55 preemie layettes, 65 quilts, 45 incubator blankets, 40 beanie snakes, 400 knitted hats, 50 burial layettes, 69 cloth diapers, 179 gently used clothes, and 12 miscellaneous items. Our donations in May were to Arizona Humanitarian Center, Los Niños Hospital, Maricopa Medical Center, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix Indian Medical Center, and St. Joseph’s Hospital NICU. Donated items included 100 newborn kits, 70 preemie layettes, 79 quilts & afghans, 105 incubator blankets, 4 large positioning aids, 130 beannie snakes, 14 toys, 213 cloth diapers, 38 large disposable diapers, 385 hats, 72 baby wipes, 122 clothes, 84 burial layettes (55 small preemie,16 med. preemie & 13 newborn), 12 memory cards,12 thank-you cards & envelopes, 97 gently-used clothes, 8 gently-used toys, 68 gently-used quilts & afghans, and 3 miscellaneous items.
