Thank You to our Wonderful NIN Volunteers
This heartfelt letter came from Karen and Suzanne (Bereavement Services Coordinators at Banner Desert Hospital): “We can’t thank you enough for the burial layettes and newborn kits you provided for our bereavement program. The love and care you put into these items is so apparent. Our grieving parents are able to see their babies presented so beautifully. It is part of a lasting memory that they will cherish forever. Thanks again for your dedication to our program.”
As some of you know, our Chapter President has some burial clothes on hand for special requests from hospitals and individuals – if you know someone that needs help, please let them know about us. We are so blessed to be a part of this GREAT program!

NIN National News
As of September 1, 2007, the NEW National NIN President is Connie Edwards, past president of the North Carolina Chapter. We welcome Connie and her NIN Dream Team and look forward to working with her!
Family Circle magazine would like to do an article on NIN and are needing photographs of NIN volunteers sewing Christmas stockings, stuffing stockings and participating in Christmas-related projects. This should be easy for all of you! Get out your cameras and start recording your sewing groups, work meetings, Humanitarian groups, etc. Please scan them in email or just give to any board member. THANKS! (Also, this is a good time to help our chapter newsletter – pictures make it SO much more interesting!)

We would like to welcome several new volunteers: Kris Balzar and several other ladies at the Gilbert Senior Center make beautiful items including hats and blankets! Also, this past month a volunteer donated her baby’s gently used clothes – and her baby is only 6 months old! A group of young women donated 326 memory cards, and two Service-Learning students donated crocheted afghans, tied quilts, made loom hats and stuffed animals! Way to go!
