PRESIDENTS MESSAGE:

Hi to all of you.  I guess we got spring back, at least the weather not the flowers. I imagine your yards look as bad as mine.  I guess we just have to be thankful for the lovely days of flowering trees and flowers we had before the freeze.

You did good again.  We delivered 270 items to 11 locations at a value of $2,057.07. This included 8 health departments and 3 hospital OB departments.  You brought in 266 items to our chapter meeting. We had 15 volunteers who put in 567 hours. This includes all those who came in to our get together on Tuesday plus those that work at home and have their things brought in by one of us.  We only made $24.35 at the flea market for the month of February.

We received this nice letter from the Carter County Health Center: “My name is Dakota Turley. I am the WIC nutritionist at Cater County Health Center in Van Buren, MO. I just wanted to write and tell you how much we appreciate all the work and love you put into your products.  Your hard work benefits many, many people in need.  Without your help, they might be lacking the essential clothing and baby items.  So I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do.  Your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed.” This was signed by all the people working at the department. You have my thanks also. We couldn’t do this without each individual participating. Hugs to all, Jeanne.

The next meeting is April 24, 2007. Please bring sewing machines, sergers, needles, pins, patterns, scissors, items that you made. A dish to share at noon. A neighbor or a friend. We meet at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on hwy E, at 9:00 a.m.. to get there take hwy 63 north out of Houston, go past Empire gas propane place. Take the next street, which is hwy E turn left and it’s on the corner.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter Day.!!!!!!!!!
