Thanks for your interest in the national “Largest Baby Shower on the Planet” sponsored by Newborns in Need (NIN). We invite your organization to
participate and plan a shower to be held anytime between August 1 and August 8, 2008 in South Carolina. Nationally, NIN has donated out more than 118,000 items through April, 2008. The need is great and
continues to worsen, especially in this difficult economy.
Locally, we are asking for your help in promoting and supporting the “Largest Baby shower on the Planet” in South Carolina by holding a baby shower at
your church or agency and collecting any of the NEW items listed on the hospitals/agencies “Wish Lists” below. Or you can raise funds and purchase a NEW crib & mattress or NEW car seat to
donate, or just donate a gift card (WalMart, Hancock Fabrics, Knit, A.C. Moore or Michaels) so that NEWBORNS IN NEED may purchase one or more of these items OR buy fabric or yarn to make the handmade items.
On the Shower dates for the hospitals/agencies below, please DELIVER all donations to THAT location between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Each shower is held on only the one day listed. Volunteers
from NEWBORNS IN NEED will be present at each location to accept your donations on behalf of each facility.

Nationally, Newborns in Need has 43 chapters in 25 states (more than 5,000 volunteers). We want to reach and help as many needy and sick babies as we can to provide
them with baby care essentials. Baby Planet, a high end stroller manufacturer and The Mommie’s Network, a national group of Moms who provide support, encouragement, and empowerment to other moms, are also
partnering with us on this national event so that babies in areas where there are not yet NIN chapters can also receive needed care essentials. We can provide you with a promotional flyer upon request.
Thank you for helping Newborns in Need in our mission to assist God’s tiniest and most vulnerable babies in South Carolina. We look forward to hearing from you
and the success of this Largest Baby Shower on the Planet!
Sincerely, Pat Barkley, President Charleston SC Chapter
